ALBANY, GEORGIA– Invisalign continues to gain popularity for one Albany, GA orthodontist as more people seek out of more aesthetic options to treat orthodontic issues.
Dr. Dallas Margeson has offered the Invisalign option at his south Georgia orthodontics practice since 1999. Margeson provides a variety of Invisalign products to patients as an additional treatment options, thanks to Align Technology, the pioneers in invisible braces and the creators of Invisalign.
Since Invisalign was introduced in 1999, the company has developed several more variations of the product, Margeson said. These include:
* Invisalign – https://www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/Invisalign Full – a treatment option that is able to treat complex and simple malocclusion cases.
* Invisalign Teen – geared toward patients who are teenagers and younger with compliance indicators and Power Ridges are available on this line. Invisalign Teen is a safe method to make permanent teeth erupt naturally and treats the supra-eruption. Invisalign Teen was launched in the United States in July 2008.
* Invisalign Expressis an option for treatment that utilizes up to 10 sets of aligners. It’s a more affordable solution for minor spacing and crowding cases or 激光脫毛 – https://www.evrbeauty.com/ as a prelude to restorative or cosmetic treatment.
* Vivera Retainers – These retainers are used to keep patients healthy after their treatment has ended. Patients can enroll in a plan of subscription to receive new retainers. Vivera Retainers became available in the U.S. in January 2008.
“Invisalign has been shown to be an effective option for a wide range of malocclusion cases,” stated the Albany, GA Invisalign provider. “This together with the aesthetic features many patients would like and the benefits of oral hygiene make Invisalign the ideal orthodontic treatment option for many of our patients.”
How Invisalign Worked
Invisalign treatment begins with the end of the treatment visible. A 3-D computerized model of the patient’s dental teeth is created that shows the patient’s teeth prior to and after the Invisalign treatment. Margeson makes any necessary adjustments and the data is sent to the Invisalign lab where the aligners are created.
With the help of Invisalign’s ClinCheck software, Margeson is able to show patients each movement in the treatment process, aligner by alignmenter, throughout the process of treatment.
Invisalign aligners are made of clear, medical-grade plastic and can be customized to fit each individual patient. Typically, the patient receives up to six aligners at their orthodontic checkup. Each aligner will be worn for about two weeks.
The aligners work together to gradually reposition the teeth into an optimal alignment, Margeson said. Treatment usually takes between 9 and 18 months.
Oral Hygiene Benefits
Invisalign treatment is easy because the aligners can be removed as you drink, eat and floss.
“Tartar and plaque may build up around brackets if patients aren’t careful with their oral hygiene, and food frequently is caught on brackets,” Margeson said. Flossing also takes longer because floss threaders are required to travel between wires and teeth to ensure proper flossing.
Having removable aligners eliminates any possible obstructions. Patients can wear their aligners and take them off to consume food or drink. Patients can brush and floss in the normal way.
